FROM THE BLOG: JSTOR DAILY AS A CLASSROOM RESOURCE

Have you had a chance to visit JSTOR Daily, our new online magazine that connects news and current affairs with related scholarship on JSTOR? Learn more about the site and its potential as a pedagogical resource from Cathy Halley, the Editor of JSTOR Daily.

NEW TEACHING RESOURCE: GLOBAL PLANTS IN THE CLASSROOM

Our newest teaching resource is a companion to JSTOR Global Plants, called “Global Plants in the Classroom: Botany 101" (or just Botany 101, for short).

Botany 101 is a freely available resource and study aid to help teachers and students of botany-related courses use Global Plants. The resource consists of nine units that introduce basic concepts in the study of botany. The topics range from plant anatomy, to botanical illustration, to economic botany. Each unit includes a short video introduction, key concepts, vocabulary, and example materials that include Global Plants resources and journal articles on JSTOR.
